BIO & AWARDS

New York Photographer Robert Hooman, was born in Iran and raised in California. A graduate of NYU's Tisch school of arts (BFA Film Production), he worked in Broadcast and commercial production as a film/video editor until making the leap into full-time photography in mid 2008.

Using his cinematic sensibility and mixing light & darkness with strong subject compositions, he renders his subject's personality and connects them to his viewers. Staged or Reportage, the goal remains the same: creating moving and memorable photography with a cinematic flavor.
